Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ health status by observing vital signs and reporting any changes promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, adhering to care plans and dietary restrictions
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and laundry
- Support residents with medication reminders and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s
to assist with mobility and transfers safely - Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, home health, nursing home, or group home settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in resident condition
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and family members
- Valid experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is beneficial
