The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
- Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
- Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
- Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
- Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly
Activity Assistant Qualifications
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Previous experience working with the elderly preferred
- Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred
