Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and processing returns or exchanges
- Assist customers with product demos to highlight features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling techniques
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented and accessible
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products according to store standards and assisting with inventory management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising practices
- Experience with product demos and upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle cash drawer responsibly and adhere to cash handling procedures
