Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in developing conceptual designs and detailed drawings for residential interiors using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Rhino 3D.
- Prepare presentation materials including CAD renderings, graphic designs, and visual mockups utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop.
- Support project management tasks by coordinating schedules, tracking project timelines, and managing documentation related to design development and construction details.
- Contribute to drafting construction detail documentation ensuring building code compliance and accurate representation of design intent.
- Conduct building code analysis and assist in creating building information modeling (BIM) models for accurate project visualization.
- Collaborate with vendors and clients on lighting sales, renovation plans, remodeling projects, and interior finishes to ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Participate in site visits for renovation or remodeling projects to gather measurements, assess construction progress, and ensure design specifications are met.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
- Experience with 3D modeling for architectural design and rendering techniques.
- Strong understanding of building code analysis, construction detail documentation, and building information modeling (BIM) tools.
- Knowledge of interior design principles including color theory, lighting design, and material selection.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly through CAD presentations and graphic designs.
- Prior experience in residential interior design projects or renovation/remodeling is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
