Full Time Pre-K Teacher

Oak Leaf Kids Academy – Rowlett TX 75088

We are looking for a committed and energetic individual who will develop a strong relationship and make a difference in the lives of young children and their families. Minimum of 2 year experience working in a child care center. Our school is open from 6:00a.m.-6:30p.m. Candidates must be willing to work Monday through Friday, 7 to 8 hours shift with 2-2.5 hrs. break in between.

Must Have:

• Able to stoop, bend, stand, and sit on floor
• Able to change diapers and potty train if needed
• Teach with patience
• Communicate effectively preschool years kids (3 year to 4 years old), their parents, and other staff
• Conduct and document daily activities, screenings and assessments of children
• Provide quality, nurturing care to children enrolled in the program
• Demonstrate skills to properly address developmental needs of children per their age
• Daily cleaning of classrooms
• Must be able to drive bus/van
• MUST be dependable and have a strong work ethic

Qualification:

• At least 18 years old and meets basic requirements of DFPS
• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• 1 years’ experience in child care or preschool teacher is preferred
• CDA or other Child Development related classes preferred
