What you will be doing:
- Collecting, cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and organizing dental instruments and equipment to the highest infection control standards
- Operating and maintaining autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and sterilization equipment while completing all required monitoring and documentation
- Preparing and breaking down hygiene operatories efficiently between patients
- Assisting hygienists chairside with suction, instrument passing, patient seating, radiographs (if certified), and other supportive tasks
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked sterilization and hygiene areas
- Ensuring we maintain full compliance with CDC, OSHA, and office infection control and safety expectations
- Assisting, as needed, other clinical team members
Our ideal candidates have:
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to infection control and patient safety
- Previous sterile processing, dental assisting, or hygiene assisting experience (preferred)
- A current Radiography/X-Ray certification for Ohio (a plus)
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Natural organizational skills
