Morning Prep Crew Member

Job Summary

Oak Island Sub Shop is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member to join us as a Part-Time Morning Prep & Slicer Crew Member. This position is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly by preparing fresh ingredients before we open each day.

You'll spend your mornings slicing meats and cheeses, prepping vegetables, stocking the line, and making sure everything is ready for a successful day. If you enjoy staying busy, take pride in doing things the right way, and appreciate a consistent morning schedule, we'd love to meet you.

Job Responsibilities

• Slice meats and cheeses according to our quality standards.
• Wash, cut, and prepare fresh vegetables.
• Complete daily prep tasks before opening.
• Label, rotate, and store food following food safety guidelines.
• Stock and organize prep stations and coolers.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and prep area.
• Assist with additional kitchen tasks as needed.
• Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

What We're Looking For

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Able to work independently and stay organized.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Previous kitchen, deli, or food prep experience is helpful but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
• Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a small, hardworking team.
