Job Purpose
The Residence Inn/ SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Downtown Greenville is seeking a barback for Oak & Honey. The purpose of this position is to be responsible for assisting our bartenders with service to keep the bar operational at all times. A high-energy, can-do, friendly attitude is a must.
Essential Job Functions
- Restock liquor, mixers, and garnishes behind the bar.
- Perform bussing responsibilities such as clearing empty cups and trash from bar top and tables.
- Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of bar (wipe surfaces, move chairs, arrange menus, etc.)
- Perform frequent restroom checks for quality control.
- Perform clean-ups of spills or other customer accidents as needed.
- Ensure bartenders are equipped with clean rags at bartending stations and clean cups in front of house.
- Clean cups and dishes in back of house; adhere to dish-washing procedures.
- Check and re-stock ice bins.
- Assist bartenders with back of house liquor inventory.
- Follow all opening, closing, and key-holding procedures during each shift.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by smiling and answering questions.

Qualifications
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Detail-oriented, organized, cleanly
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs
- Must be flexible (able to work late shifts, weekends, and/or holidays)
Experience/Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in barback or bussing preferred
