Role Description The Chemistry Teacher CCP is a full-time, on-site position based at Oak Hills Local School District in Cincinnati, OH. This educator will design and deliver College Credit Plus (CCP) chemistry curriculum aligned with district standards and partner college expectations, ensuring rigorous, engaging instruction for high school students earning dual credit. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and lab activities, teaching chemistry concepts and applications, assessing student performance, and providing timely feedback and academic support. The teacher will maintain a safe, well-organized laboratory environment, integrate technology and real-world examples into instruction, and collaborate with colleagues, counselors, and college partners to support student success. Additional duties include participating in professional development, communicating regularly with families and stakeholders, and contributing to school initiatives, data teams, and departmental planning.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Chemistry Education, including strong content knowledge and experience teaching high school chemistry; familiarity with College Credit Plus or dual-enrollment standards is preferred.
• Ability to design effective Lesson Planning and instructional materials that align with curriculum standards, incorporate lab work, and support diverse learning needs.
• Strong Communication skills, including clear instructional delivery, constructive feedback to students, and professional collaboration with colleagues, families, and college partners.
• Teaching skills that reflect effective classroom management, student engagement, differentiation, and use of formative and summative assessments.
• Background or comfort with related disciplines such as Physics is beneficial for supporting integrated science learning and interdisciplinary projects.
• Valid state teaching license or eligibility for licensure in Chemistry or Integrated Science at the appropriate grade level; CCP teaching qualifications as required by the partnering college (e.g., relevant master’s degree or graduate coursework).
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, equitable classroom environment and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, curriculum work, and school-wide improvement efforts.
