Clinical Information Processing
- Admissions: Processes admission and discharge data in a timely and accurate manner, communicating with Quality Assurance and Integrated Center staff, as needed.
- Verify Insurance: Verify client insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Coding: Assists, as needed, with properly codingfor service reimbursement, and compliance with all federal, state, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Patient Billing: Assist clients with understanding their financial responsibility, including co-pays, out-of-pocket expenses, and other payment options.
- Daily Reconciliation: Responsible for accurately posting and reconciling cash and receipts by the close of business day.
- Prior Authorization: Utilizes the program authorization tracking form to provide insurance authorization reminders to clinical staff.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule client appointments for individual and group therapy sessions, psychiatric services, and other specialty health services.
- Coordination: Coordinate appointments across multiple providers, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling for both clients and providers.
- Patient Reminders: Send appointment reminders to clients via phone, email, or text to reduce no-show rates.
- Calendar Management: Maintain and update provider schedules to avoid conflicts and optimize clinic resources.
- Client Flow: Ensure smooth client flow within the clinic, minimizing wait times and maximizing provider efficiency.
- Front Desk Operations: Greet clients, answer phone calls, and provide general information about services.
- Client Records: Maintain accurate and updated client files, ensuring compliance and confidentiality with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, DPH and other regulatory bodies.
- Documentation: Assist with documentation for client treatment plans, including intake forms, consent forms, and other related materials.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure the efficient operation of the clinic.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical billing and scheduling.
- Experience in a healthcare setting serving individuals with disabilities or behavioral health.
