Oak Hill Country Club is seeking an experienced and service‑driven Banquet Captain to support the execution of exceptional banquet and special event experiences. This leadership role works closely with Catering and Culinary teams to ensure seamless service, staff coordination, and outstanding guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate banquet events based on Banquet Event Orders
- Lead and direct banquet service staff during event setup, service, and breakdown
- Act as the primary on‑site contact for events
- Ensure accurate setup, service timing, and adherence to club standards
- Coordinate food service between kitchen and banquet teams
- Lead pre‑function meetings and communicate service expectations
- Assist with training, scheduling, and evaluating banquet staff
- Serve VIP guests and smaller functions as needed
- Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and club policies
- Complete post‑event recaps and assist with administrative duties
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of private club experience
- Banquet, fine dining, or a la carte service experience required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid driver's license
- Food safety and alcohol service certifications
Schedule Full‑time, year‑round. Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during events. Regularly works 45 hours per week.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, bending, and standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Reliable transportation required
