Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for English Language Arts.
- Conduct assessments such as standardized testing preparation, formative evaluations, and project-based assignments to monitor student progress.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students through tutoring sessions, academic advising, and personalized feedback on writing and reading assignments.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management strategies while fostering a respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and implementing best practices for literacy education across grade levels.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and ways to support learning at home.
Experience
- Classroom experience teaching English Language Arts
- Background in instructional design, lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor students effectively and collaborate with colleagues on instructional initiatives.
- NC Teaching License preferred
Pay: $45,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
