Middle and High School Substitute Teacher

Oak Hall School invites qualified candidates to apply for Substitute Teacher positions with our Middle and Upper School. These are part-time positions on an "as needed" basis and there is no guarantee of hours/days. Many substitute assignments are arranged by text or phone call the night before or morning of the assignment.

• High school diploma required
• Applicants should have an interest in working with children (grades 6 through 12) within the educational setting
• The ability to work positively and professionally with students, parents and faculty
• Age appropriate classroom experience preferred
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Must be able to execute the teacher’s lesson plans and maintain the classroom in a professional manner
• Must be able to visually and audibly supervise students in the classroom
• Must be able to adhere to all school safety standards and protocols
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 20 lbs
• Must be able to learn and utilize basic technology systems
• The ability to periodically work in outdoor conditions, including heat and cold temperatures
• A high degree of professionalism, collegiality, and personal conduct both in and outside of school
• Ability and judgment to communicate thoroughly, accurately and concisely with all constituents in a school environment, both verbally and in writing
