Job Summary
Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Helper, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe dining environment. and kitchen. Your contribution is to clean and store all groceries on delivery days. Taking out trash and clean the floor and cleaning bathroom. Cleaning walls and keeping the storage room clean and dust free. Hours will be 6am to 12pm noon 4 days a week Monday-Thursday. No Fridays or weekends. All work must be competed for the end of the shift. No changes the hours or days on the schedule.
Duties
- Assist with food production and meal preparation, following established recipes and safety guidelines
- Serve meals to residents or patients with friendly, attentive customer service
- Help with food handling, sanitation, and cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic kitchen and dining area
- Support dietary department staff in organizing and bussing tables during meal times
- Ensure proper food safety practices are followed during all stages of food handling and serving
- Aid in the setup and breakdown of meal service stations, ensuring efficient flow during busy periods
- Contribute to the sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining spaces to uphold sanitation standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food production, handling, and safety protocols within the food industry or culinary settings
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during meal times
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and cleaning procedures in a dietary or food service role
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to providing excellent customer service
- Basic understanding of dietetics principles or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
