Oak Grove Montessori School is located in Carrollton, GA on 12 beautiful acres. OGMS (https://www.oakgrovemontessori.com/) is a nonprofit school dedicated to providing a traditional Montessori program for children from 6 weeks through 6 years old. We are immensely grateful for our community of educators and families who strive to achieve the OGMS mission to nurture and guide the whole child to become an independent, responsible learner. We are also proud to share that the families and staff of OGMS are highly satisfied, and as a stable, established program, we experience minimal turnover.
We are seeking a Primary Lead Teacher to join our collaborative team for the 2026-27 school year, beginning in August (some opportunities for earlier employment may be available as well). Primary classrooms at Oak Grove have children 3-6 years old. Oak Grove maintains lower ratios than allowed by state, with Primary spaces typically having one Lead Teacher and one Assistant Teacher with 14-16 children at the start of the school year (we save a few spots saved for toddlers at OGMS to move up mid-year, capping Primary classrooms at 20-22 children).
OGMS is seeking candidates who:
- Have a Bachelor's degree (in early childhood education or similar fields, ideally). Other levels of education may also be considered.
- Possess Montessori certification. OGMS is also willing to sponsor Montessori certification for the right applicant.
- Ideally have previous experience with Montessori classroom management.
- Are curious, enthusiastic learners.
