Job Summary
We are a family owned & operated single doc practice in search of an experienced dental hygienist to add to our work family. Our goal is to provide care that is second to none in a friendly, laid back atmosphere. We believe in work-life balance, and have built our office hours around that philosophy. This position is part-time, Tuesday & Thursday 6:30am-3:30pm (patient hours 7:00am-3:00pm).
Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and SRP's
- Take dental x-rays and other diagnostic imaging
- Assess patients' oral health conditions and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Dental Hygiene license
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- 3 years experience, preferably in private practice
- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively across diverse age groups
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Pay: Up to $72.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 per week
