Math teacher/tutor for Oak Forest Academy
Oak Forest Academy, a new Montessori microschool in Shoreview, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Math teacher to deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to a small group of students. This is a part-time position meeting for one hour twice per week.
Duties:
Work with four students, 8th-11th grade, from pre-algebra to algebra levels. Offer a short group concept lesson, then work individually with each student to support their own level of work on integrated math worksheets by the Math Institute. Be a positive and encouraging support for each student.
Skills required:
Capable of effectively explaining Math concepts to a variety of levels to achieve understanding.
Encouraging and calm manner of working with adolescents.
Ability to assist students in developing problem-solving skills.
Create a positive learning environment.
Hours:
10:00-11:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays
Dates:
January 5-May 22, 2026. No school March 9-20.
