Admissions Coordinator

Oak Forest Academy is seeking its first admissions specialist for an immediate start during the 2025-26 school year. We seek a dedicated professional who works well collaborating with the administrative team and can thrive with individual initiative. This role focuses on the creation of marketing materials and the delivery of them into communities of parents seeking alternative high school choices. It also facilitates the admissions process by maintaining communication with prospective families.

Oak Forest Academy is a small, private, outdoor Montessori high school integrating rigorous academics with purposeful work and engagement in the natural world. Rooted in Montessori principles, our program emphasizes independence, real-world application, collaborative learning, and meaningful connection to place. We seek students who are passion driven to design and pursue their own educational experiences.

Key responsibilities

Marketing:

Create and deliver marketing materials from school generated pictures and stories

Manage organic and paid social media posts

Establish and maintain relationships with feeder schools, companion organizations, and local influencers

Admissions:

Manage the full admission cycle from inquiry to enrollment

Act as the dedicated point of contact for all prospective families

Facilitate Open Houses, Shadow Days and the application process

Qualifications and personal attributes:

Three to five years in admissions, recruitment or high-end relationship management

Personable and warm approach to relationship building

Strategic thinker and creative problem solver with the ability to see the big picture

Superior interpersonal, organizational leadership and managerial skills

Understand the appeal of a forest-based Montessori high School

Ability to manage multiple complex tasks, meet tight deadlines and changing demands

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 10 per week
