Oak Construction Company Inc. is a General Contracting firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL., seeking an experienced project superintendent with new construction and remodeling commercial retail experience. Experience with grocery stores is a plus. As a Project Superintendent you will lead field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and of exceptional quality. The Project Superintendent has ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day onsite management of the project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing Commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring all work is performed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Education, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Superintendent.
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Must have or acquire a 30 hour OSHA card within 30 days of hire
- Must be Drug Free
- Knowledge of Procore Construction Software is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- Coordinate the scheduling of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors along the critical path to ensure timely project completion.
- Analyzes blueprints and design plans for in-depth knowledge of project scope.
- Execute quality control duties and responsibilities to ensure the work being performed meets established standards.
- Enforce safety protocols to ensure job site consistently meets or exceeds OSHA safety standards
- Monitor project progress, schedule adherence, and facilitate communication with the project team regarding RFI’s and Material Submittals.
- Ensure subcontractors fully adhere to and execute their contracted scope of work and safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
- Coordinate necessary inspections with local jurisdictions.
- Maintain a comprehensive daily log of on-site activities, supplemented by weekly photographic documentation of job sites to visually demonstrate progress.
- Recognize and communicate conflicts in construction progress to the project team for resolution.
