Position Overview: As a Food Service Worker at Oahu Care Facility, you will play a crucial role in our Food Service Department by performing a variety of essential tasks. Your main responsibilities will include transporting, sanitizing, storing, delivering, custodial, and service functions to ensure the seamless operation of our food service in a long-term care setting. Shift is 6am-2:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assist in serving meals and snacks to residents in a timely and respectful manner.
- Ensure all food service equipment is properly sanitized and stored to prevent cross-contamination.
- Follow all safe food service practices and precautions to maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and dietary staff to coordinate efficient meal delivery and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food storage areas, refrigerators, and serving carts.
- Adhere to established protocols for handling, storing, and disposing of food items.
- Assist with custodial duties related to food service areas as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
