Shifts: 7a-3:30p /11:00pm - 7:00pm / 2:00pm-7:00p - Sat/Sun Required

As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting with the planning, organizing, and implementation of recreational and social activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing a variety of engaging activities and programs tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents.
- Encourage resident participation in activities to promote social interaction, physical well-being, and mental stimulation.
- Provide assistance and support to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Collaborate with the activities coordinator and other team members to develop innovative and creative activity ideas.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to assess the effectiveness of activities and make improvements as needed.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment that promotes the dignity, independence, and well-being of our residents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in recreational therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with seniors.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Nurse Aide Training preferred
