Orbach Affordable Management is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our OAHS Bethlehem LLC team in Bethlehem, PA. This role supports a 127-unit affordable housing community that combines HUD and LIHTC programs.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This hands-on role is ideal for a team player who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. You will perform general custodial, janitorial, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete daily work orders efficiently.
- Maintain a team-oriented, positive attitude.
- Perform light electrical duties, such as changing lightbulbs and thermostats.
- Replace filters, faucets, sinks, and plumbing components in apartments.
- In the event of Snow conditions - Operate snow removal equipment, including snow blowers and shovels.
- Clean grounds, laundry rooms, and common areas on a daily basis.
- Assist with preparing units for new residents (make-ready tasks).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance team and property.
- This position is fulltime 8:00am- 4:30pm
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in building and apartment maintenance required.
- Experience in construction or carpentry in a professional setting is a plus.
- Strong background in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Must own basic hand tools and be prepared for inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Professional communication skills when interacting with residents and team members.
- Experience operating and maintaining lawn care and snow removal equipment.
