Job Responsibilities
- Firmware design for aviation and space systems
- Implementing, verifying, documenting and testing firmware in VHDL for aviation and space systems
- Create and maintain simulation test bench modules to ensure a high degree of code coverage and verify functionality of firmware modules
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and contribute towards FPGA design methodologies and best practices
- Work in close collaboration with Hardware and Software engineers throughout the integration process to ensure that firmware is implemented as intended
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
- 7 years of experience in Digital/FPGA/CPLD Design & Testing
- Extensive understanding of FPGA design methodologies including physical syntheses, static timing analysis, and formal verification
- FPGA simulation tools (ModelSim, VCS)
- FPGA Synthesis tools (Microsemi Libero, Intel Quartus, Xilinx Vivado)
- Verilog and VHDL coding proficiency
- Experience writing simulation testbenches and design verification
- Able to work independently and within a team environment. This position is 100% on site. No remote work
- Must be a highly productive, self-motivated person able to contribute as an individual and work withing a distributed team
- Must possess very good communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience working with DO-254 Standard Compliance Documentation (desired)
- Experience with Aviation and Space systems (desired)
This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). U.S. Citizenship is required.
