Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing multi-specialty medical practice. This executive-level leader will oversee clinical and administrative operations, drive operational excellence, optimize financial performance, and ensure exceptional patient experience while supporting our physicians and staff.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative healthcare leader with strong business acumen, experience managing multi-site physician practices, and a passion for building high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership across multiple specialties and practice locations.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
- Partner with physicians and executive leadership to achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee practice managers and department leaders, providing coaching, accountability, and professional development.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial performance, provider productivity, and operational metrics.
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost containment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, payer requirements, and all applicable healthcare regulations.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and support accreditation and regulatory readiness.
- Optimize workflows, scheduling, staffing models, and patient access.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment, employee engagement, retention, and performance management.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, facility operations, and technology implementations.
- Foster a culture centered on teamwork, accountability, innovation, and outstanding patient care.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive healthcare management experience.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing physician practices or ambulatory care operations.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-site and multi-specialty medical practices.
- Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, revenue cycle management, compliance, and quality improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and practice management software.
- Experience leading organizational growth, acquisitions, or practice integration.
