We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This is a full- time traveling position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Adhere and follow safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear
- Operate routinely used hand tools and equipment
- Perform general construction labor including site preparation, material handling, demolition support, and cleanup
- Load and unload equipment from vehicles, and trailers
- Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required
Qualifications:
- 3 years demonstrated ability to operate various types of heavy equipment including excavators and skid steers preferred
- Underground tank removal and remediation experience preferred
- Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions
- Works in atmospheres with low clearance, confined spaces and at heights
- Environmental and hazardous waste experience including certification per OSHA 1910.120 (i.e. OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER) (Company willing to help obtain)
