POSITION: Full-Time Service Sales Representative
REPORTS TO: Sales Director
What you will do:
The Service Sales role is vital to the continued growth and profitability of our business. The selected candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling Fire Alarm Test and Inspection Agreements (FATIs) for commercial building systems. Additionally, they will manage and drive sales related to fire alarm and integrated security system modifications—including moves, adds, and changes.
This role demands a high level of energy, a customer-focused mindset, and a strong drive to succeed. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence, persuade, and close sales. Success in this position requires adaptability, the ability to navigate a wide range of situations throughout the sales process, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Establish contact with prospective clients and qualify potential buyers of service contracts through scheduled sales calls, lead follow-ups, and the use of defined marketing strategies.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from identifying opportunities and developing customized solutions, to preparing proposals, closing deals, and ensuring seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other O&W team members to effectively manage projects, ensuring customer expectations are met while maximizing profitability.
- Conduct product demonstrations in partnership with our vendor partners.
- Identify customer needs and develop strategic sales approaches that communicate the value of O&W’s service and product offerings.
- Consistently meet or exceed defined sales objectives.
- Manage your sales territory with strategic focus and organization.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to learn new concepts and pursue continuous personal and professional growth.
How You Will Do It:
- Maintain an active pipeline of proposals to support achievement of your sales plan.
- Perform building surveys to support the preparation of accurate estimates.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers, ensuring O&W remains their trusted partner.
- Work closely with the service department & inspection team to identify and generate opportunities for system upgrades or additional services.
- Take on other duties as required in support of team and company goals.
What We Look For:
- Residence in or within 50 miles of Sheboygan, WI.
- Proven experience in prospecting, qualifying, solution selling, and closing deals.
- Strong ability to quickly identify and evaluate sales opportunities.
- Demonstrated persuasive skills and sales closing techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of successful B2B sales experience.
- Background in selling services, intangible offerings, or technical solutions preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, build customer rapport, and tailor solutions to client needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Commitment to ethical conduct and workplace safety at all times.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and ability to travel locally.
Preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
· Industry or related industry experience
Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $42,500-$60,300 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan and benefits package.
