The Role You’ll Own

This is a Full-Time, In-House position for a dependable and detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for maintaining, organizing, issuing, receiving, and tracking tooling, supplies, and related inventory to support daily production needs. This role requires someone who can stay organized, work efficiently, and help ensure the shop floor has the tools and materials needed to keep production moving.

Responsibilities

Issue and receive tooling, cutters, inserts, holders, gauges, and shop supplies
Maintain accurate inventory levels and help prevent shortages or overstock
Organize and keep the tool crib clean, orderly, and efficient
Monitor usage of consumables and tooling for restocking purposes
Coordinate with machinists, setup personnel, and supervisors on tooling needs
Receive incoming tooling and supply shipments and verify accuracy
Label, stock, and store tooling and materials in the proper locations
Assist with tracking tool life, repairs, reorders, and vendor information
Help maintain documentation and records related to tooling inventory and usage

Experience with the Following is a Strong Plus

Previous tool crib experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, tool holders, drills, end mills, and related tooling
Inventory control or stockroom experience
Familiarity with purchasing support or reorder processes
Experience working around CNC machining operations

Technical Requirements

Tooling Knowledge: Basic understanding of machine shop tooling and supplies preferred
Organization Skills: Strong ability to maintain a neat, accurate, and efficient tool crib
Inventory Accuracy: Ability to track quantities, locations, and usage with attention to detail
Production Support Mindset: Able to respond quickly to shop needs and keep operations moving
Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge for inventory tracking and recordkeeping

Professional Requirements

English speaking is a must
Strong communication, time management, and accountability
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Positive attitude and willingness to support production team needs

Experience & Education

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Tool Crib / Inventory / Stockroom Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
Machine Shop Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
