What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Specialist position at O'Reilly Auto Parts?
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Parts Specialist to provide exceptional service to our retail and installer customers. This role will also support store management in achieving assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow and promote all company customer service programs, including Hi-5 and Low Price Guarantee.
- Promptly greet customers and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Provide excellent phone service by answering calls according to company policy and accurately looking up parts and quote prices.
- Maintain and secure cash drawers, process credit card transactions, and address customer complaints in a friendly manner.
- Perform various daily operational tasks, such as preparing merchandise returns and operating store test equipment.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate.
Requirements:
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Multitasking skills, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and sales or service
- ASE certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
