Job Description
Oready is seeking an immediate, qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide on-site interpretation services in professional workplace settings. Assignments may support meetings, trainings, presentations, interviews, personnel discussions, and other business-related events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and professional ASL interpretation for scheduled assignments
- Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing participants and hearing participants
- Maintain confidentiality, neutrality, and professional conduct at all times
- Arrive on time and prepared for each assignment
- Comply with site access, security, and identification requirements
- Coordinate with Oready and designated points of contact regarding scheduling and service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked and assignment details
Qualifications
- Prior ASL interpreting experience preferred
- Potential travel or commute (paid)
- Proof of ASL interpreting certification or equivalent professional qualification required
- Experience in workplace, government, legal, HR, or training settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and professional judgment
- Ability to meet background check and site access requirements
