Utilities Permit Agent - New Hampshire

Location: New Hampshire (candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office)
Schedule: Full-time, Exempt
Travel:Candidate can expect to travel throughout the state about 25% of the time. Travel could extend to surrounding states in the New England region.

What You'll Do

• Identify all required permits for road crossings, foreign utility crossings, rail crossings, water crossings, and special/conditional use scenarios
• Conduct in-depth research using online databases, courthouse records, and recorded documents to determine permitting requirements
• Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to perform property research and maintain accurate mapping and data records
• Apply knowledge of real property concepts and instruments to ensure compliance with permit-related regulations and documentation standards

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of two(2) years ofUtility Permitting
• Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
• Valid Driver's License

Bonus Points if you have utility and transmission line, Railroad Crossing and/or DOT/DOH permitting experience

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This employee is required to occasionally travel to government buildings which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations.
