The Concierge will work directly with guests of the winery, providing exceptional service and best-in-class hospitality experiences. This position will provide pleasant and professional communication with guests while working in a team environment in support of the growth and reputation of the winery. The ideal candidate must have an interest in the wine industry, hospitality, and guest service, and be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events. This role will receive an hourly pay rate, plus earned gratuity.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival, creating a welcoming and memorable first impression that sets the tone for their winery experience. As the first point of contact, the Concierge plays a key role in establishing a positive and engaging atmosphere
  • Goes the extra mile consistently, to ensure that each Guest has an experience that gives a sense of belonging- and a connection to the people, place, and product.
  • Takes initiative for self-development in the areas of our wines, our brands, and general hospitality, along with participating in educational opportunities to ensure wine, service, sustainability, and industry knowledge remain current and evolving.
  • Acts as a brand and sustainability ambassador, demonstrating positive characteristics of exceptional guest service.
  • Works collaboratively as a solution-oriented team member, demonstrating positive and open communication. 
  • Able to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional Guest service skills demonstrated through prior work experience
  • Outgoing, engaging, and friendly personality
  • Proven ability to communicate with a diverse client group effectively and appropriately
  • Is flexible, can manage constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Certification in California Food Handlers Training required or within 30 days of employment
  • Certification in California RBS Training required or within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and some nights
  • Ability to operate a computer POS system.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: 

  • Stand for prolonged periods.
  • Perform some repetitive motion activities.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Accurately complete detailed forms and reports.
  • Interpret regulations and/or policies.
  • Understand and respond to a diverse population.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is normally performed in a tasting room/kitchen/hospitality environment.
  • Work is mainly performed both in and out of doors.
  • Noise levels are usually moderate but may be moderate to high at times.
  • A percentage of work time may be spent in a wine warehouse and cellar where temperatures are cool, and the noise level is usually moderate.
  • Floors may be wet and slippery; proper footwear is required.
