The O’Neal School seeks a qualified Middle School English Teacher. The major responsibility of the position is to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program according to the guidelines provided by the O’Neal School curriculum which guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

- Have knowledge of, uphold, model, and communicate the mission of The O’Neal School.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons appropriate to each class.
- Assess, record, and report on the development and progress of students.
- Stay abreast of developments in the field through reading, research, and professional development, including faculty development days.
- Liaise and collaborate with colleagues, including Division Head, Department Head, fellow teachers, counselor, and other resources.
- Participate in sponsorship of student extracurricular activities.
- A Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on English.
- Previous experience teaching English, preferably at the middle school level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills related to interactions with students, parents, and fellow teachers.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and an adherence to timeliness.
