Position Summary
The Manufacturing Analyst will be responsible for developing cost estimates and pricing in response to quote / proposal requests from new and existing customers. Additionally, this role will analyze customer revisions to determine related cost / price changes. This individual will handle all the administrative aspects to set up parts, kits and assemblies in the business system. The Manufacturing Analyst will interact daily at various levels within the division and will have the ability to understand and participate in resolving the technical and operational challenges with particular business opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive technical data for new and current customer quotes.
- Analyze and evaluate customer prints and specifications to determine best production methods considering cost and quality.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the planned business review meetings with customers.
- Assist other associates in the division as needed in the development of new business with existing customers.
- Work with O’Neal procurement, sales and business development personnel at other O’Neal subsidiaries.
- Travel as needed to accomplish desired results. Overnight travel may be required occasionally.
- Submit and follow up on quotes to customers.
- Coordinate the hand-off of technical information to the site engineering team (drawings, routings, materials, quote considerations, etc.).
- Apply the principles used in the pricing strategies of the division to develop cost estimates and pricing.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Engineering and Production to assure accurate and timely proposals to the customer to assure accurate estimates of manufacturing costs.
- Communicate status of analysis projects and assure that agreed upon deadlines are met.
- May assist in creating formal presentations to existing customers.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
- Experience with ERP system, preferred.
- Able to work in a high-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Associate's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience, required.
- Speak conversational English.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 20 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to bend, stand, climb, twist and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform sedentary work including sitting for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Have good vision of 20/30 with corrective lenses.
- Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.
- Travel as needed to accomplish desired results. Overnight travel may be required occasionally.
