Paint Prepper and Painter

Job Summary:
We are hiring a reliable and experienced Paint Prepper to support our manufacturing operations. This role requires working with tools, measuring accurately, applying bondo, wearing a respirator and having a shaved face, buffing grinding and preparing metal, and being on your feet throughout the shift. MUST BE 18 TO APPLY.

Duties:

• Perform general production, assembly, and fabrication tasks
• Use basic hand and shop tools safely
• Measure materials using a tape measure and perform fraction/math conversions
• Operate or assist with machinery
• Follow work orders and production schedules
• Inspect products for quality
• Move and carry materials as needed, using team lift when weight exceeds limitations
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Track time using the ADP mobile app
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product standards are met
• Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues

Requirements:

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Basic math skills (fractions and measurements)
• Comfortable using hand tools
• Frequent bending, squatting, lifting, and carrying
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Willing to wear required PPE
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with material handling processes is a plus
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Possible PPE Requirements:

• Safety glasses
• Gloves
• Respirator when required (must maintain clean-shaven face for proper fit)
• Steel-toe or composite-toe boots

Preferred Experience:

• Machine operation experience
• Forklift experience
• Blueprint or work order reading experience
• Bondo application

Work Environment:

Industrial manufacturing setting with noise, dust, and moving equipment.
