The Media Buyer/Planner is responsible for the planning, negotiation, and placement of all media for assigned clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Meets with media representatives and analyzes proposals and packages for broadcast, outdoor, digital and print advertising.
- Responsible for the planning, negotiation, and placement of all media for assigned clients.
- Gathers, organizes and presents competitive research and spending data, as requested.
- Determines television programs, radio stations, OOH locations and publications for print to use for all buys; will also include some digital.
- General knowledge of digital media with the ability to place and maintain smaller digital campaigns.
- Capable of independently developing basic media plans and managing smaller budgets.
- Processes changes on media buys for all assigned accounts.
- Works with Account Executives on media questions and overflow of accounts.
- Processes necessary paperwork for all media buys.
- Acts as the liaison between media vendors and the agency.
- Works with Media Director and Media Supervisor on budget planning.
- Attends individual media presentations and/or industry presentations to keep current with industry changes.
- Keeps all media files relating to specific clients.
- Ensures that all campaigns are running as planned, on budget, and with the proper creative message.
- Manages digital billings including maintaining buys, invoices and billing through Advantage.
- Maintains e-filing.
- Resolves discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Orders and confirms media buys in Advantage.
- Promptly communicates interdepartmentally.
- Provides weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reporting as needed by the client.
- Manages job allocation and time management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong math skills required.
- Can effectively present media plans and results to clients.
- Works closely with the Client Services team on media questions and flow of accounts.
- Proficiency with MacOS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presentation.
- Positive outlook and team player mentality.
- Can develop new media partnerships.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of two years media buying experience.
- Experience in STRATA and Advantage preferred.
- Experience placing media on Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram preferred.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Typically working in an office with occasionally working outdoors on location at client sites.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
