Marching Band Front Ensemble Technician.

Responsibilities:
- Assist director and percussion caption head in preparing the front ensemble for marching band performances
- Conduct regular weekly sectionals in June and July
- Assist director and percussion caption head at weekly full-band rehearsals July
- Lead rehearsals at weeklong percussion camp
- Assist director and percussion caption head with and lead rehearsals at weeklong full-band camp
- Assist director and percussion caption head in percussion writing as necessary
- Assist director and percussion caption head in equipment maintenance as necessary
- Assist director and percussion caption head in running setting up live audio at rehearsals and performances
- Attend regular performances and competitions as necessary
Qualifications:
- Essential Qualifications:
- Willingness and ability to effectively make known the Catholic Church’s teachings through the varied ministry activities expected of this position
- Willingness and ability to act as an outstanding personal witness to the Catholic faith and religion by living both one’s professional and personal life in accordance with the doctrines and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, as embodied in the various documents of the Roman Catholic Church, including, without limitation, the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Experience in marching band percussion preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- SD teaching certificate preferred
- Organizational skills

- Met expectations of percussion caption head, band director, and administration
- Communicated effectively with percussion caption head, band director, administration, and staff
- Supported the mission of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work hours required
- Clarity of vision
- Ability to speak English clearly
- Ability to hear and distinguish sounds, including speech, alarms and other work environment sounds
- Fine hand motor skills to include and not limited to grasping, holding, and repetitive motion
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk through work day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to intermittently bend, squat, and reach overhead
