Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in North Haven, CT. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing daily operational tasks relevant to the position, which will include working closely with the Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, and the Tool Designer teams to create and/or improve manufacturing processes. The CNC Programmer programs, 2 axis, multi spindle & mill turn (live tooling) lathes using a CAM system and is able to troubleshoot at the control. Must work to project deadlines for time and cost.
Qualifications
· Experience in CAM programming: 5 years (required) MasterCam a plus
· Okuma and Fanuc Control knowledge is a plus
· Multi-Spindle, Multi-Turret lathe experience is preferred
· 3D modeling of complex parts: 5 years (required) SolidWorks a plus
· Experience in hands-on CNC machining of complex parts: 5 years (required)
· Experienced G code programming at the machine control (debug).
· Excellent blueprint reading skills & thorough understanding of GD&T.
· Experienced with metrology tools & processes for part inspection.
· Microsoft Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project
· Good communication skills, math skills and attention to detail.
· Must have good problem-solving skills
· Should be familiar with Lean Manufacturing
· Self-Starter / Self-Motivated / Flexible
· Works in an office and machine shop environment.
