Our progressive Engineering Team at our office in Houston, Texas seeks a talented Electrical Designer. We want someone with a desire to exceed expectations and a commitment to ensuring the built environment matches the design intent. WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO .
The Electrical Designer will be responsible for working with engineering team members and coordinating with consultants on studies, design, or construction documents of various scale projects.
- Work in a team environment
- Work collaboratively with our firms integrated engineers, architects and interior designers across all offices
- Perform site surveys and coordinate with the electric utility for assessment of renovation or new construction needs
- Design building electrical systems including power distribution and lighting design, along with familiarity of fire alarm and low voltage systems
- Coordinate construction documents for small to medium-sized projects
- Review CA related items and perform site observations during construction
- Understand codes, standards, and guidelines related to the practice of building design
- Be familiar with software for performing electrical loads, short circuit analysis, and lighting calculations
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE
Were looking for passionate, driven self-starters. Beyond that, youll need
- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Equivalent; Bachelors preferred
- EIT preferred
- 5 years of experience
- Revit experience required
