Responsibilities
Procurement Support
- Assist in issuing Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for commodity and standard electrical materials.
- Obtain pricing from suppliers and help prepare bid/quote comparisons.
- Support buyers and project managers in sourcing materials and services.
- Help ensure materials are purchased at competitive pricing while maintaining quality and availability.
- Enter purchase orders into procurement systems and ensure accurate documentation.
- Track material deliveries to job sites and communicate shipping status to project teams.
- Follow up with suppliers on lead times, back orders, and delivery schedules.
- Support material expediting to ensure on time
- Coordinate returns and freight claims as needed.
- Maintain up‑to‑date vendor information, including contact lists.
- Help with maintaining submittal packages, O&M manuals, and other project-required paperwork.
- Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies by working with Accounts Payable and suppliers.
- Support the company’s Diversity Vendor Program through data entry and supplier outreach.
- Maintain procurement trackers, spreadsheets, and shared inboxes.
- Help prepare and maintain supplier performance metrics.
- File and organize procurement records electronically.
- Strong desire to learn supply chain operations within the electrical contracting field.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to build relationships with vendors and internal personnel.
- Problem‑solving mindset with curiosity to understand materials and supply chain processes.

- 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or a related field (internships or co‑op experience valuable but not required).
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field preferred — or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with modern business software and desktop operating systems
- Strong communication skills with office and field personnel.
