Duties
- Repair and replace both domestic and irrigation pump equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and safety protocols
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices
- Repair or replace faulty pump components, including seals, impellers, motors, and valves
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in logs and reports
- Assist with installation of new pump systems, ensuring proper setup and calibration
- Use specialized tools like ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and verify circuit integrity during diagnostics
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Good communication skills for reporting findings and coordinating with team members
- Physical dexterity and stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment safely
- Prior experience with pump systems or related machinery is preferred but not required; training will be provided
