We are seeking a Moving Operations Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our moving company. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational and leadership skills who can manage logistics, scheduling, and team performance—ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Manage and coordinate all aspects of moving operations, including scheduling, staffing, and route planning.
- Team Management: Supervise, support, and hold moving team members accountable for performance and professionalism.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the moving process, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Logistics & Planning: Strategically allocate resources, plan routes, and adjust operations as needed to meet business and client needs.
- Quality Control: Monitor job performance to ensure moves are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with company standards.
- Training & Development: Train and mentor team members on protocols, customer service expectations, and safety procedures.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all team members adhere to safety standards and company policies.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records for inventory, job completion, equipment usage, and incident reporting.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years in logistics, operations, or team management (moving industry experience is a plus).
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with moving equipment and box trucks is helpful, but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform occasional physical tasks and be comfortable on-site if necessary.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean record (CDL preferred, but not required).
- Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends or extended hours as needed.
