We are seeking a quality-minded technician to work in our compounding laboratory and dispensing area. This is a hands-on position where your work directly affects patients in your community and coast-to-coast, impacting your neighbors as well as four-legged and feathered friends. Excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, and attention to detail are must. Daily functions in the lab range from assembling capsules, oral solutions, and creams to computer input and order assembly. Responsibilities in the sterile lab may include equipment monitoring, sterility tests, and cleaning. Daily functions in our dispensing area range from assisting customers face-to-face to taking phone and online orders, monitoring inventory and stocking, and learning about the natural therapies we offer. Shift varies from 7:30AM - 4PM to 9:30AM - 6PM. We are closed weekends, holidays, and evenings. Bonus pay, health/dental/version, and other perks! Starting pay with room to grow is $22-24/hour. Job Description:
Pharmacy Technician—Laboratory
- Accepting written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and doctor offices and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.
- Recording medical histories while maintaining confidentiality.
- Delivering quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the pharmacist for medical information.
- Verifying the accuracy of patient information.
- Counting prescription medication, filling prescriptions, and typing and attaching medication labels.
- Performing inventory audits and purchasing supplies and medication.
- Processing patient insurance forms.
- Accurately taking, documenting, and assembling orders.
- Other duties as required.
- Documentation of laboratory parameters and functions.
- Assisting in making sterile and non-sterile dosage forms as required.
- Labeling and packaging of medication.
- Cleaning of laboratory, compounding utensils, sterile and non-sterile rooms, sterile and non-sterile hoods.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly workstation.
