Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor - Buildings and Grounds and Waste Management.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for supervising the Buildings and Grounds and Waste Management staff. They are also responsible for meeting with the contractor representatives to discuss and resolve cleaning and window cleaning issues. They will supervise the setup and strike for School of Medicine events on and off campus and provide departmental coverage during off hours.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures the consistent delivery of cleaning and window cleaning services to the off campus buildings serviced. Meets with clients to coordinate special cleaning requests. Is conversant with and explains to customers the details of the cleaning process. Processes invoices and maintains department records.
• Establishes work schedules for the Buildings and Grounds and Waste Handling personnel and monitors work performance. Defines the expected outcome and time of completion clearly. Communicates the objective of the assignment. Institutes appropriate follow-up to ensure that the desired outcome is reached.
• Ensures that the cleaning and window cleaning specifications are current and relevant. Meets with the contractor representative on a daily basis to review and discuss cleaning and window cleaning performance.

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• Five (5) years work experience with three (3) in a supervisory capacity
• Working knowledge of cleaning and maintenance requirements for hospital and biomedical research facilities
• Strong verbal, written and organizational skills are necessary
• Should have experience in personal computer use and database management

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,299.99 - $81,026.40 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
