Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Director, Transformation.

In this role, the successful candidate as the Associate Director, Transformation will report to the Senior Director, Supply Chain and will be responsible for leading the Transformation team in the planning, prioritization, execution, and sustainment of strategic supply chain and operational improvement initiatives across the enterprise. 
This role will oversee a team responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing transformational initiatives that improve service, efficiency, financial performance, standardization, and operational effectiveness. The Associate Director will partner closely with Supply Chain, clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to understand pain points, prioritize opportunities, build alignment, and drive measurable results.
Success in this role will require strong leadership, change management, project execution, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives simultaneously in a large and dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Transformation team, including assigning work, setting priorities, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development.
  • Oversee the successful planning, execution, and sustainment of multiple complex, high-profile, cross-functional transformation initiatives across Supply Chain and related operational areas.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to achieve operational, strategic, and financial objectives.
  • Partner with internal customers and stakeholders to identify pain points, assess opportunities, and prioritize initiatives with the highest organizational impact.
  • Manage and oversee the transformation opportunity funnel, including intake, evaluation, prioritization, resource planning, and communication of timelines and expectations to stakeholders.
  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring clear project plans, accountability, milestone tracking, risk mitigation, and successful handoff to operational owners.
  • Develop and implement strategies that improve operational performance, service levels, standardization, process efficiency, and financial outcomes.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments to solve complex operational challenges, remove barriers, and drive sustainable change.
  • Lead change management efforts by creating shared understanding of improvement opportunities, shaping vision, mobilizing commitment, and ensuring adoption and sustainment of new processes.
  • Serve as a liaison and channel of communication between Supply Chain and other departments, operational leaders, and committees across the organization.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level updates on projects, pipeline, opportunities, outcomes, risks, KPIs, and financial impact.
  • Develop business cases, quantify financial and operational benefits, and support leadership decision-making related to transformation initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and outcome measures to evaluate project success and long-term impact.
  • Partner with departmental and executive leadership to align transformation priorities with broader organizational goals and available resources.
  • Support budget planning and resource allocation for transformation initiatives, as needed.
  • Formulate, recommend, and help implement new policies, procedures, and standard work to support improved performance and consistency.
  • Promote and drive standardization efforts across Supply Chain and related operational functions.
  • Mentor team members and junior staff in project management, change management, problem-solving, and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Transformation team.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Health Administration, Operations, or a related field.
8 or more years of experience in project management, process improvement, change management, business transformation, operations, or a related field with progressive leadership responsibility.
Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable operational and financial outcomes.
Experience managing teams and/or direct responsibility for staff oversight, coaching, and performance management.
Strong leadership, team-building, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent consultative, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and present to senior leadership and executives.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to handle critical issues, navigate ambiguity, and solve problems in a complex environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead change, build alignment, and drive adoption of new processes and ways of working.
Strong business acumen, including experience assessing financial impact and developing business cases.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing demands, and meet established timelines and service expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience in an integrated delivery network (IDN) or other large healthcare system.
PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or Change Management certification.
Consulting background or prior experience in enterprise transformation initiatives.
Experience in healthcare supply chain, operations, or performance improvement.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $121,792.22 - $210,091.64 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
