Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.

In this role, the successful candidate 10 to12 weeks, full-time work experience. It provides students with an opportunity to apply their developing knowledge and skills in health services administration/management, research, or, policy. Students gain a better appreciation for the pressures that affect decision-making in todays healthcare environment and are able to identify additional skills they will need to better prepare them for a rewarding career in health care administration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in qualitative data analysis, including transcription review, coding of interview data, and thematic analysis using qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo, Dedoose, ATLAS.ti)
• Organize, clean, and maintain qualitative data files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity throughout the research process.
• Identify patterns, themes, and insights from interview data and summarize findings for the research team.
• Prepare written summaries, memos, and preliminary analytic reports to support team discussions and interpretation of findings.
• Provide support in developing research tools, such as codebooks, interview guides, and documentation of analytic procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to refine analytic approaches, verify findings, and ensure methodological rigor.
• Report discrepancies, data issues, or inconsistencies to project leads promptly.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and research compliance standards.
• Work independently and take initiative, while also engaging collaboratively during team meetings and analytic discussions.

To qualify you must have a The student intern must be a full-time student, or if working in the summer months (Mid-May through Mid-Sept), must be planning to return to full-time status in the fall.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $17.00 - $25.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
