As a Patient Care Specialist at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will play an important role in connecting patients with mental health services, helping them find a provider that aligns with their needs and preferences, as well as delivering a positive and welcoming experience in every interaction. This position acts as the first point of contact for patients and referents by providing information on services, scheduling intakes and follow-up appointments, and processing referrals.

This is a non-exempt position. Total earnings for this position will start at $17.50 hourly.

- Interacts with all patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
- Act as the point of contact for all intra-office referrals and inquiries by providing education on all services, intake procedures, and scheduling appointments.
- Register new patients by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information.
- Ensures a positive first impression for patients and referents by guiding them through the intake with professionalism and empathy.
- Answer inbound and make outbound phone calls while responding to inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner, providing accurate information or triaging as appropriate.
- Process internal and external referrals and communicate scheduling outcomes.
- Collaborate with clinical staff regarding patient care issues and scheduling.
- Handle patient concerns and crises with empathy and patience while collaborating with site leadership to resolve, as needed.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in health care facilities and an interest in behavioral health preferred.
- Physical requirements include occasionally lifting and moving office supplies which can include reams of paper that weigh up to 50lbs.
- It is clearly understood that all names and materials seen in this position are strictly and highly confidential due to state and federal regulations on patient privacy. Compliance of all HIPAA related regulations will be strictly enforced by Management.
This is a non-exempt position. Total earnings for this position will start at $17.50 hourly.
- Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a 1.0 FTE.
