As an Outpatient Therapy Intern at Sagent Behavioral Health, formerly known as Ellie Mental Health, you will see and maintain a small caseload of individual clients, complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments, person-centered treatment plans, clinical progress notes, and utilize assessment tools and ancillary therapy notes in alignment with 245i MN state standards for documentation. All services provided by the Intern will be reviewed by the supervisor including written work and interactions with clients. The Intern will engage in a variety of clinical and non-clinical activities related to their specific discipline and that are consistent with their individual learning requirements from their program.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $16.00.

- Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, implement and maintain treatment plans and complete ongoing documentation.
- Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Active participation and responsibility in building, growing, and maintaining caseload of 10 billable hours per week.
- Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in your community.
- Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
- Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings.
- Attend weekly supervision.
- Remain in good standing in your graduate program's expectations and standards.
- Must be pursuing a master’s degree in either social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology (with the eventual license of LPCC, LICSW, LMFT, or LP).
- Candidates are completing a formal practicum or internship through their graduate program.
- Clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience and ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
- Previous work or volunteer experience related to behavioral health is preferred (common examples are Independent Living Skills, Inpatient Mental Health, Behavioral Program or Residential Experience).
Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $16.00.
