What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist - Per Diem position at NYSDOCCS Recruitment?
7am-3pm hours and days vary
5$8.33-70.39 per hour. Salary is negotiable
Reviews prescription orders in conjunction with I/Is information & records. Verifies accuracy of drug, dosage, & quantity prescribed; & determines suitability based on I/Is history & other medications. Fills & labels prescriptions, identifying the drug, dosage, directions for use & precautions. Packages, labels, & dispenses medications for which may be in bulk quantities for distribution. Monitors & maintains storage areas/inventory levels; orders, receives, & inspects medications/supplies to ensure proper storage, labeling, & removal of expired/damaged products.
Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a license and current registration to practice Pharmacy in New York State and one year of service as a Pharmacist.
Hourly Rate is calculated by years of experience as Pharmacist and geographic pay is also additional for the rate.
