Employee will assist with implementation of the states pheasant rearing and release program. This will include daily care and maintenance of pheasants of varying ages. Delivery of Ring-necked pheasants throughout the state. Assistance with facility maintenance such as mowing, string trimming, fence repair, pheasant pen set-up & take down. Delivery of pheasants will require safe operation of truck with trailer. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Position will require some weekends.

Minimum Qualifications
There are no education or experience qualifications for this class.
Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be
able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to
operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State
driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
Additional Comments
This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 11/30/2026. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Travel may be required.
Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
