The New York State Department Of Agriculture And Markets Is Seeking Several State Fair Workers To Perform Maintenance Activities And Operate Various Equipment As Part Of Their Events Staff At The Great New York State Fair! These Event Staff Positions Are Part Of a 24/7 Operation, Ensuring The Maintenance Of Event Facilities On The New York State Fairgrounds. These Positions Set Up And Transport Furniture And Equipment, Such As Tables, Chairs, Picnic Benches, And Barricades In Preparation For Special Events And Meetings. They Maintain The Outdoors By Shoveling Snow, Spreading Ice-melt On Walkways, Using Leaf Blowers, And Clearing Barn Stalls Post-events. Acting As a Direct Point Of Contact For Event Promoters, The Event Staff Will Cater To Various Event-related Needs As They Arise. They Will Also Operate Equipment Including

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in the operation of one or more of the pieces of equipment noted above. Candidates must have the physical ability to perform work consisting of light or medium to heavy physical labor. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.

These Are Full-time, Temporary Opportunities With Multiple Shifts Available
- 1st shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
- 2nd shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- 3rd shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
